Guwahati: Fresh landslides have occurred in parts of Guwahati as a result of the recent heavy rains.
One house in Namoni of Kamakhya in Guwahati were completely destroyed in a landslide.
However, only one person sustained minor injuries in the incident.
According to reports, the walls of the house were damaged as a result of the landslide.
The incident occurred at the residence of Mondeep Mazumdar. The injured person has been identified as Moni Dutta.
Meanwhile, floods in Guwahati continue to wreak havoc with several parts of the city submerged for the third day in a row on Thursday. Areas like Rukminigaon, Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Hatigaon, Zoo Road, Beltola, etc. are still reeling under floods.
Waterlogging has occurred in many parts of the city and traffic movement has been hampered, causing inconvenience to residents and commuters alike.
