The Government of India has banned all the imports of air conditioners with refrigerants in a bid to boost local manufacturing and Indian Industries. According to Government reports China and Thailand are the top exporters of air conditioners to India.
In the month of July also the Government has also put many restrictions on imports of colour television sets requiring to get a license from the Government for the importers.
