IndiGo flight carrying Assam Ministers makes emergency landing
Guwahati, 4 July: An IndiGo plane carrying a number of Assam’s political leaders made an emergency landing at the LGBI airport in Guwahati after reporting a mechanical issue on Tuesday.
According to reports, the IndiGo airport took off from Guwahati’s Borjhar airport but had to return for an emergency landing.
Reportedly, the plane carrying Naba Kumar Doley and cabinet members Bimal Bora and Ranjeet Kumar Dass from Assam which was also carrying hundreds of other passengers.
Soon after takeoff, the flight reported a problem and had to return to the airport. However, the IndiGo flight 6E-2652 was bound for Dibrugarh.
Meanwhile, it has come to light that the same aircraft had reported another mechanical issue and had to make a similar emergency emergency landing.
The airlines have not yet issued a formal statement regarding the situation.
