Jagdeep Dhankar arrives in Guwahati for official visit

Guwahati, 4 July: Vice president of India, Jagdeep Dhankar landed at Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Tuesday. His trip to Assam is intended to deepen ties and promote regional development. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Lok Sabha member Queen Oja and other dignitaries greeted Vice President Dhankar warmly when he arrive at the airport.

Vice President will attend two significant events at IIT Guwahati after visiting Maa Kamakhya temple in Guwahati. He will address the graduating students and engage in conversation with them during the 25th Convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar was greeted at the airport by prominent figures including cabinet minister Atul Bora, BJP Assam unit president Bhabesh Kalita, Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania and top Assam Police officials.

Vice President Dhankar had already been to Assam beforein May to attend the 21st convocation of Dibrugarh University.
