Indo-China Face-Off: Injured Indian Troops Admitted to Guwahati Hospital

Guwahati: The Indian soldiers, who were injured during the clash between Indian and Chinese forces on Friday, December 9 in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, were evacuated to a military hospital in Guwahati.

The Line of Actual Control (LAC) which was firmly and resolutely contested by Indian troops was contacted by PLA troops last week at the Tawang area, sparking the clash that resulted in injuries to soldiers on both sides.

According to reports, the number of Chinese soldiers injured in the clash is higher than the number of Indian soldiers who were quoted by ANI on Monday. The Indian troops positioned in the region of the face-off on Friday in the Tawang sector responded appropriately to the Chinese troops.

They claimed that while the Chinese had arrived well-prepared, with some 300 soldiers, they had not anticipated that the Indian side would equally be well-prepared.

As per reports, there are some spots along the LAC in the Tawang sector where the two sides have different perceptions and where they both monitor the area up to their respective claim lines.
