Guwahati: Police security guard was fatally attacked on Saturday by inmates of a juvenile prison in Chapra of Bihar. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Saran Police, Vikas Kumar informed.
The DIG claims that these two young people grabbed Chandra Bhushan Singh, a member of the morning house guard, and violently beat him before fatally stabbing him.
“Child prisoners in a Chapra-based remand home stabbed Chandra Bhushan Singh to death with a knife. When Chandra Bhushan went to take a stock of the condition in the prison room, the children in remand home first fiercely thrashed him and then stabbed him with a knife,” DIG Vikas Kumar said.
He added that Chandra Bhushan Singh was taken to a nearby hospital by two other home guard police officers who were also present at the scene when the incident occurred.
“However, the doctors in the meantime declared him dead,” he added.
The investigation into the matter is underway.
