Jammu and Kashmir: Security Forces Kill 2 Terrorist in Encounter
Guwahati, 3 May: Security forces killed two militants in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning, Kashmir Zone Police informed this.
The incident took place near the Pichnad Machil area in the Kupwara district where security forces and militants engaged in combat during which they killed the two terrorists.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet informed, “#KupwaraEncounterUpdate: 02 #terrorists killed. Search operation still going on. Further details shall follow.”
Earlier on April 20, as many as four Indian Army Jawans lost their lives when their car caught fire in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir.
As a result of the incident several jawans suffered severe injuries.
The incident was reported from the Bhata Dhurian area on the Rajouri Poonch National Highway.
Later that day, the Indian Army claimed in a statement that the incident in Jammu and Kashmir had been caused by a terrorist grenade attack.
The Indian Army said in a statement that the truck was fired upon by terrorists before bursting into flames, probably as a result of the militants throwing grenades.
