J&K: Police arrests six terrorist associates in Pulwama

Srinagar (J&K): Police have busted a terror module by arresting six terrorists associates in Pulwama reportedly linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) on Friday.

The arrested accused were allegedly involved in logistics, housing, handling and transferring terror funds, and pushing youth to serve as hybrid terrorists.

Moreover, the arrestees were identified as Rouf Ahmad Lone Amjid, resident of Lelhar Kakapora, Aqib Maqbool Bhat resident of Alochibagh Pampore, Javaid Ahmad Dar resident of Larve Kakapora, Arshid Ahmad Mir son of Ab Rashid Mir resident of Parigam Pulwama, Rameez Raja resident of Parigam Pulwama and Sajad Ahmad Dar resident of Larve Kakapora.

These apprehended terrorist allies were involved in providing logistics, shelter, handling and transferring terror financing, and motivating youth to serve as hybrid terrorists, according to early investigations.

They were also in frequent contact with terrorist leader Reyaz Ahmad Dar, Khalid, Sheeraz of terror organisation LeT, a resident of Sethergund Kakapora Pulwama, and were instrumental in propagating terrorism in the area on his orders, according to the investigation team.

It may be mentioned that  a case FIR number 19/20222 has been filed in Police Station Kakapora under relevant provisions of the law, and an investigation has begun.
