J&K: Terrorists Hurl Grenade At Security Forces In Srinagar

Guwahati: A grenade was hurled by the terrorists at the security forces in the Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

The incident took place in the Khwaja Bazar Nowhatta area of the district.

According to reports, the militants attacked a party of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the local police of the area.

The explosion is said to have caused damage to two stores. However, no injuries or deaths have been reported in the incident.

However, no terrorist organisation has claimed responsibility for the incident.

According to police sources, the entire area has been cordoned off, and search operations are ongoing to apprehend the militants.

It may be mentioned that on February 11, four cops were injured and one was martyred after militants hurled a grenade on security forces in Nishat Park in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
