Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in the Panbazar area of Guwahati on Wednesday.
The fire broke out in the mosque after the Friday ‘Namaz’ was over and the devotees had left for their homes.
According to reports, the police and three fire brigades reached the spot to put off the fire.
However, the cause of the fire is due to a short circuit.
It may be mentioned that no casualties have been reported as of yet, but property damage is expected as a result of the fire.
