Mumbai Indians player and cricketer Krunal Pandya was detained at the Mumbai International Airport by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Thursday. According to reports the cricketer was halted in the Airport for allegedly possessing undisclosed gold and other valuables.
Krunal Pandya also purchased huge amount of valuables, including gold chains and other luxury items above the permissible limits as per consumer law. Krunal had returned victorious after winning IPL 2020 with Mumbai Indians by a flight from UAE at 5 PM when he was stopped at the airport by DRI personnel. Krunal Pandya has played 71 matches for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
