Landlord Held for killing tenant & chopping body in Ghaziabad

Guwahati: Police arrested a man in Ghaziabad for allegedly killing his tenant and then chopping his body into multiple pieces before throwing it into the canal.

The accused was identified as Umesh Sharma from Modinagar in Ghaziabad of UP.

The victim was identified as Ankit Khokar who was killed at least two months ago.

According to reports, the man had received Rs 1 crore for selling his ancestral land in Baghpat.

The landlord was interested in the money and was aware of it. The accused murdered the PhD-holding victim because they want the money. He lived alone in the rented home.

The police claimed that the victim had gone missing and after an inquiry they discovered that the deceased’s landlord had been responsible for the murder.

The suspect killed Ankit Khokar by strangling him on October 6. The body had been sawed into at least three pieces before being dumped.

The police said that further investigation into the matter is being conducted.
