Maha CM Eknath Shinde To Visit Kamakhya Temple In Guwahati

Guwahati: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde along with the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs of the ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’ will be on a second tour of Guwahati and are likely to visit the Kamakhya temple on November 26.

According to reports, Shinde will be accompanied by around 200 MLAs and MPs.

Notably, he would be making his first trip to Guwahati since assuming his new position in June of this year.

Earlier this year, Maharashtra experienced a significant political crisis that led to the resignation of the state’s then-chief minister, Uddhav Thackeray, when more than 45 MLAs defected to the Shinde-faction of the Shiv Sena.

Later, Eknath Shinde and the BJP established a coalition, and Devendra Fadnavis served as Shinde’s deputy in the new administration.
