Major Drug Bust Near Assam-Arunachal Border: Chardwara Police Seize Ganja Worth Rs 50,000

Guwahati, 21st May: In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activities, Chardwara police conducted a successful raid early Tuesday morning in Bogijuli No. 4, near the Assam-Arunachal border, seizing a substantial quantity of ganja.

The operation led to the arrest of Prasad Das, who was found in possession of the illegal substance. Police sources estimate the value of the seized ganja at approximately Rs 50,000.

The raid was part of an ongoing initiative to curb the trafficking and distribution of banned substances in the region. Acting on a tip-off, the police swiftly organized and executed the raid, catching Das red-handed with the illegal narcotics.

Prasad Das is currently in custody and undergoing further interrogation as part of the investigation.
