Man Who Urinated On Woman Passenger Mid-Air Held From Bengaluru

Guwahati: Shankar Mishra, a native of Mumbai has been arrested by Delhi Police on Saturday after he was accused of peeing on another passenger on an Air India trip from New York to Delhi.

Mishra, who is accused of peeing on his fellow passenger while intoxicated, was detained in Bengaluru and taken to Delhi, police said.

Further investigation into the case is in progress.

The suspects were the subject of a Look out Circular (LOC) issued by Delhi Police on Thursday.

Based on a report from Air India, the Delhi Police filed a FIR on Wednesday regarding the terrible occurrence that happened on November 26 of last year.

The police filed a FIR in this case in accordance with Sections 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act and Sections 354, 509, and 510 of the Indian Penal Code. The victim and the accused are both from locations other than Delhi.

The passenger was also prohibited from flying for 30 days by Air India.

The pilot of the Air India flight was among the six-eight crew members summoned by Delhi police on Friday in connection with the urinating episode.

On Friday, the US-based financial services company Wells Fargo let Shankar Mishra leave.

“Wells Fargo holds employees to the highest standards of professional and personal behaviour and we find these allegations deeply disturbing. This individual has been terminated from Wells Fargo. We are cooperating with law enforcement and ask that any additional inquiries be directed to them,” the company said in a statement.

Wells Fargo released a statement after Delhi Police requested their assistance with investigations against the accused Mishra.
