Guwahati: A powerful bomb exploded in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the bomb was suspected to be an improvised explosive device was positioned at the front entrance of a pharmacy and went off at 2:45 a.m. today.
The pharmacy’s door was blown off, and other businesses in the area were also affected. The resulting fire from the explosion destroyed the pharmacy’s drugs, furnishings, and other goods to ashes.
According to reports, shrapnel from the explosion struck businesses across the street. However, no casualties have been reported from the incident.
It may be mentioned that a team from the Porompat Police Station hurried to the scene to conduct preliminary investigations.
