Manipur Police Conduct Search Operations, Recover Arms, and Dismantle Bunker

Northeast Desk, 14th September: Manipur police conducted continued search operations in various districts of the state on September 14th, resulting in the recovery of arms and the dismantling of a bunker in Kangpokpi district.

These search operations were conducted in fringe and vulnerable areas across Thoubal, Imphal East, Imphal-West, Kakching, Churachandpur, and Kangpokpi districts. During the operations, one arm was recovered in Thoubal, and a bunker was successfully dismantled in Kangpokpi district.

As part of their efforts to ensure security and maintain law and order, a total of 128 nakas/checkpoints were established in different districts of Manipur, both in the hill and valley regions. In connection with various violations, the police detained 1,853 individuals across different districts of the state.
