Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in the Nagaon district of Assam on Saturday midnight.
The incident took place at around 2 am in Shantijan Bazzar near Batadrava of the district.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, at least two cloth shops were completely gutted in the devastating fire.
Meanwhile, Eid around the corner the shops were full of clothes were worth around 25 lakhs burnt to ashes in the heavy fire.
It needs to be noted that the reason behind the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit.
However, Dhing fire tenders along with the help of local people rushed to the affected place and doused the fire. There have been no reports of human casualties.
