Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in a hotel in Guwahati’s Christian Basti area on Wednesday.
The fire broke out at Hotel Gateway Grandeur in the Ananda Nagar locality of the area.
According to reports, the fire took place in the morning at around 4.30 am at the upper floors of the hotel.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. At the time of the tragedy, many people were staying on various floors of the hotel.
Meanwhile, the extent of the damage caused by the fire is unknown.
