Meghalaya: Connectivity Disrupted as Mudslides and Landslide Hits NH-6 in Sonapur and Kuliang
Guwahati, 6th August: National Highway 06 has been severely impacted by mudslides and landslides, leading to the suspension of all vehicular movement in the Sonapur and Kuliang areas. The extensive damage has rendered the highway impassable, prompting immediate repair efforts.
Authorities have responded swiftly by halting traffic and deploying repair crews to address the situation. However, the timeline for the completion of repairs is currently uncertain as teams work to assess the damage and clear debris.
Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes to bypass the affected sections of NH-06 until the highway is fully restored.
