Mizoram Achieves Record 52% Growth in GST Collection

Northeast Desk, 4th May: Mizoram’s economic trajectory reaches new heights as the state reports a staggering 52% surge in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection for April, announced Chief Minister Lalduhoma.

In a statement issued on Friday, Lalduhoma revealed that Mizoram’s GST revenue skyrocketed to Rs 108 crore in April this year, a remarkable leap from Rs 71 crore collected during the corresponding period last year. This substantial growth serves as a testament to the state’s steadfast commitment and effective revenue generation strategies.

The Chief Minister attributed this impressive feat to the tireless endeavors of Mizoram’s finance, planning, and taxation departments. Their unwavering dedication to excellence and efficiency in revenue collection has significantly bolstered Mizoram’s economic development and financial stability.
