Nagaland Becomes First State to Implement Paperless Assembly
Guwahati: Nagaland became the first state that implemented the National-e Vidhan application (NeVa) programme to become completely paperless in the state assembly on Saturday.
Amid the Nagaland ongoing budget session all assembly members were provide with a tablet or e-book to become a completely paperless budget.
Meanwhile, the application was created to bring all the legislative members together to participate in the house proceedings in a single platform.
Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in a tweet, encouraged the Neva project and the commitment of government towards Ashta Lakshmi.
According to reports, Neva is a neutral device and member-centric application that enable the paperless budget.
Neva has completely eliminated the process of sending out a notice or request for the cancellation of data. The application also secures the page for submitting questions and other notices.
Implementation of Neva is funded in a 90:10 proportion by central and state respectively.
It may be mentioned that the Neva project is aiming to mitigate the multiple complexity in applications and to enable smooth work flow system.
