NASA spacecraft makes its touchdown on Bennu Asteroid

The NASA’S OSIRIS-Rex spacecraft made its first touchdown in the asteroid Bennu which is currently more than 321 kilometres from Earth. NASA tweeted “Preliminary data show that today’s sample collection event went as planned. More details to come once all the data from the event are downlinked to Earth.”

The NASA had done planning of this spacecraft for over an decade, the OSIRIS-Rex spacecraft will collect dust and pebbles from the Bennu asteroid surface which further help the NASA to examine the space mystery.
