Night Restrictions Relaxed in Tura Town, BSF Forces Withdrawn After Stable Situation

Northeast Desk, 28th July: The district administration of West Garo Hills made a significant decision on Thursday by relaxing night restrictions throughout the entire Tura town. This move comes after a couple of days of relative peace and tranquility in the locality, with no reports of anti-social elements that could disrupt the stability.

In an official notification, the district magistrate, Jagdish Chelani, stated that the situation in and around Tura town has been stable and normal, with no reports of any activities that could endanger the peace in the area. Based on this assessment, the administration has declared the situation as normal and stable.

The order came into effect starting from 5 am on the day of issuance.

Furthermore, in line with the improved situation, the Border Security Force (BSF) armed forces, which were earlier requisitioned to be present in Tura, have now been withdrawn with immediate effect, as stated in the notification.
