Guwahati: In yet another successful crackdown on drug trafficking in the state of Assam, a massive consignment of cannabis was seized during an anti-narcotics operation in Guwahati.
This was informed by officials on Sunday.
Based on specific input, Government Railway Police (GRP) force of the Assam Police carried out an operation and seized the cannabis.
During the operation, over 40 kilograms cannabis was seized.
A huge consignment of cannabis weighed around 42 kilograms was seized.
However, the estimated market value of the seized cannabis is suspected to be Rs 21 lakhs.
