PM Distributes 71,000 Appointment Letters Under Rozgar Mela

Guwahati: Aspirants for Sarkari Naukri received 71,000 appointment letters from the prime minister on Friday. The Prime Minister spoke at the inaugural PM Rozgar Mela 2023 and engaged in conversation with more recruits who were hired under the central government employment programme.

The PM Rozgar Mela was started in October 2022 to fill the 10 lakh employment openings in government departments. The Staff Selection Commission, RRB, and other central recruitment organisations will be used to fill these job openings.

Speaking at the event through video-conferencing, PM Modi stated that ‘Rozgar Mela’ has “become the identity of our good governance. It is a testament to our commitment towards keeping our promises.”

He also assured the new hires that they will play a significant role in the administration going forward and contribute to India’s expansion and advancement.

“It is a new journey of life for those who have got the appointment letter today. Being an important part of the government, you will be an active participant in the journey of a developed India”

Moreover, according to PM Modi, several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and others will hold their own Rozgar Melas which will help the programme as a whole develop.

The Karmayogi Prarambh iGOT module which the government launched to teach the recently appointed government personnel was also emphasised by PM Modi. The iGOT module places a lot of emphasis on skill development as well.
