PM Modi at Tokyo Summit 2022: Quad a force for good in indo-pacific region

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) members’ greater collaboration is assuring peace, prosperity, and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

Modi further stated that the organisation has a positive mission that enhances its image as a “force for good.”

“The Quad’s influence and reach has grown in recent years. In a short period of time, the Quad has established itself as a significant player on the world arena,” Modi said in his opening remarks at the second in-person Quad Leaders’ Summit in Tokyo of Japan.

He was flanked by President Joe Biden of the United States, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Modi further mentioned “Despite the terrible circumstances created by the Covid-19 epidemic, we have improved and reinforced mutual coordination in critical areas like vaccine distribution, supply chain resilience, climate action, disaster response, economic cooperation, and so on.”
