PM Modi Pays Tribute To Mahatma Gandhi on 92nd Anniversary Of Dandi March

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and all the prominent people who marched to Dandi to oppose injustice and safeguard our nation’s self-esteem on the 92nd anniversary of the Dandi March today.

The Prime Minister also delivered his 2019 speech, in which he dedicated the National Salt Satyagraha Memorial to the nation.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;” Tributes to Gandhi Ji and all those greats who marched to Dandi in order to protest injustice and protect our nation’s self-esteem. Sharing my speech from 2019 when the National Salt Satyagraha Memorial in Dandi was dedicated to the nation.”

Mahatma Gandhi was a pivotal figure in the country’s liberation from British colonial authority. He spearheaded a number of movements, including the non-cooperation movement, the Khilafat movement, and the Quit India movement, among others. The Salt March was one such movement that had a significant impact on the history of the Indian liberation fight. On March 12, 1930, the Salt March, also known as the Dandi March, began.

The march was organized by Mahatma Gandhi from his Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad to the village of Dandi in the state’s coastal area.
