PM Modi Slams Congress’s ‘Loot East’ Policy, Vows Development for Tripura

Northeast Desk, 14th April: During a massive election campaign in Agartala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the previous Congress government for neglecting Tripura and the Northeast region, accusing them of implementing a ‘Loot East’ policy.

Addressing the crowd in support of BJP candidates Biplab Kumar Deb and Kriti Singh Debbarma, PM Modi urged voters to prioritize the development of Tripura in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“I urge you to vote for our candidates on 19th and 26th April. Every vote given to BJP-NDA will strengthen Modi ki Guarantee!” he exclaimed.

PM Modi highlighted the rampant corruption under the CPIM and Congress rule in Tripura, alleging that they made the state a hub for corrupt practices. He emphasized the BJP’s commitment to the Northeast’s development, noting his frequent visits to the region.

“Today, for Tripura, BJP means the politics of development,” PM Modi asserted, unveiling the HIRA+ Model, focusing on Highway, Internetway, Railway, and Airways development. He announced ongoing projects like the construction of a 4-lane highway and pledged to build 3 crore new houses across India, benefiting Tripura significantly.

“We are working on the ‘Act East’ policy, expanding benefits like Ayushman Bharat Yojana to senior citizens,” PM Modi stated, emphasizing the government’s efforts to enhance connectivity and provide essential services to the people of Tripura. He highlighted initiatives such as free gas connections for women and the establishment of Eklavya Model Schools for tribal children’s education.
