PM Modi to address 18 convocation of Tezpur University
The convocation will be held virtually on January 22, to bestow Degrees and Diplomas upon the students who passed out in the year 2020. While PM Modi will grace the occasion virtually as the Chief Guest, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be the Guests of Honour. Assam Governor and TU Chancellor Prof Jagdish Mukhi will supervise the convocation and Award the degrees and diplomas to the Students virtually.
According to a TU release, the convocation will be held in a blended mode, keeping in mind the COVID-19 protocols, where the Ph.D. Scholars and Gold Medallists will receive their Degrees and Gold Medals in Person and the rest of the Students will be accorded their degrees and diplomas virtually. A Total of 1,218 Students will be receiving their degrees and diplomas at the convocation out of which 371 are undergraduates, 725 postgraduates, 36 PG diploma and 86 are Ph.D. recipients, declared the TU release.
