Guwahati: Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad of Gujarat on Wednesday.
Heerben, who is 100-year-old reportedly needed to be taken to UN Mehta Hospital because of a decline in her health.
The hospital in an official statement said that her health condition is stable.
Earlier, PM Modi met her at her home in Gandhinagar after campaigning for the state’s Assembly elections.
On the other hand, Prahlad Modi, the PM’s younger brother was injured in a car accident on Tuesday.
He was travelling in a Mercedes Benz when it collided with a divider close to Mysuru in Karnataka while carrying his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson.
They were brought to JSS Hospital for treatment after suffering minor injuries and they are currently safe now.
