Guwahati: The people of guwahati might feel a small sense of relief as the South Central Guwahati water project is anticipated to be largely commissioned on Wednesday.
In Guwahati East, the project is anticipated to affect 13,000 families.
According to sources, the project’s inauguration would be performed by the chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma which is funded by JICA.
Although only partially completed, the project will eventually serve nearly 2 lakh people in the Gauhati East Assembly Constituency. Additionally, it will include a portion of the Dispur assembly seat.
The Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) listed a number of reasons why the project was delayed even though it was intended to be started much sooner.
