Guwahati: A rhino carcass was found in the Manas National Park of Assam.
This was informed by forest officials on Sunday.
The rhino reportedly passed away from natural causes, and no evidence of wrongdoing was discovered on its body.
The incident has been reported from Bahbari range.
Officials informed that the rhino had been in poor health for a long time.
Officials suspect that the rhino was injured in a fight with another animal of its species. The wounds had not healed and ultimately led to its death.
The body parts were found near Narayanguri forest camp.
Following the discovery of the carcass, forest officials were called in and they reached the spot to take custody of the deceased rhino.
