Russia-Ukraine Conflict: PM chairs meeting to discuss crisis

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting on Friday to discuss the Ukraine issue, which is proceeding as an exercise to evacuate Indian nationals, especially students, from the country under Russian attack.

Along with key officials like NSA Ajit Doval, the meeting included External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and another Union minister Piyush Goyal.

It may be mentioned that the government has begun “Operation Ganga” to evacuate its residents and has dispatched four Union ministers to Ukraine’s neighbouring nations as Modi’s “Special Envoys” to coordinate the operation.
