Guwahati: Sherman Ali Ahmed who was accused of making alleged controversial statements in connection with martyrs of Assam, was granted bail on Thursday.
He was arrested by the Guwahati Police on 2 October.
According to reports, Ali had made several statements that were termed as controversial and provocative.
It may be mentioned that the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has also suspended legislator Sherman Ali Ahmed.
