Guwahati: With there being indications that the much awaited cabinet expansion might soon take place at the centre, it has now been reported that former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal might now be part of the cabinet.
On Tuesday it was reported that Jyotiraditya Scindia and the former Assam CM have been summoned just ahead of the much-awaited cabinet expansion.
Sonowal left for Delhi on Tuesday afternoon and it has been expected that he might soon be given a cabinet responsibility. The central or even the state leader ship is yet to make a word on the entire situation but there are claims that if Sonowal moves to the central cabinet, he might be posted as the new petroleum minister.
However, the claim is yet to be confirmed by the BJP leadership.
