Thieves loots items worth lakhs from 2 Stores in Guwahati

Guwahati: A gang of thieves broke into two retail stores and decamped items worth lakhs to the owners in Guwahati city of Assam on Tuesday night.

The incident took place at Bishnu Rabha Path in Ghoramora near Beltola of the city.

According to reports, thieves swiped two stores, a grocery and a mobile store.

The stores that were broken into are the DD Mart and Shri Shyam Gadgets.

As per police, the robbers broke into both establishments from above, cutting through the tin ceilings.

The owner of the DD Mart reported that Cigarette packs, perfume bottles, and chocolate containers, as well as several other grocery products valued roughly Rs 80,000 were stolen.

Meanwhile, the burglars broke into Shri Shyam Gadgets and stole phones and cash, according to the store’s owner.

However, the robbers did leave behind some narcotics and the tools they used to cut through the roof.

It needs to be noted that the entire incident was captured on security cameras.
