Guwahati: A big fire broke out at Khejuritol in Bengenakhowa in Assam’s Golaghat district destroying property worth millions of rupees on Saturday night.
Three houses were entirely destroyed in the fire, and the residents barely made it out alive.
Several fire tenders were dispatched to the scene of the fire right away, and the fire was quickly brought under control thanks to their efforts.
The source of the fire is still unknown; however, residents suspect it started as a result of an electrical short-circuit.
It should be mentioned that the residents of two of the three houses destroyed in the fire were out enjoying a Bhaona performance at a neighbouring Namghar.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched into the incident, and the cause of the fire will be revealed following a comprehensive examination.
