Tripura: Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma Rushes to Delhi During Indefinite Hunger Strike

Northeast Desk, 28th February: Former Chairman of Tipra Motha and royal scion of Tripura, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, initiated an indefinite hunger strike demanding a constitutional solution on Wednesday. While addressing the crowd in Hatai Kotor, formerly known as Baramura Hills in Tripura, he received a call from the Central government.

During his speech, Leader of the Opposition and MLA of Tipra Motha, Animesh Debbarma, handed over a phone call to Pradyot on stage, prompting an urgent response from him.

After the phone conversation, Pradyot announced his immediate departure to Delhi, stating, “The Central government asked me to come to Delhi now. Should I go? I must go.” He emphasized the need for seriousness and refrained from celebrating prematurely.

Pradyot expressed his commitment to travel to Delhi on an empty stomach until he receives positive news. He affirmed his unwavering stance and refusal to compromise on the indigenous people’s demands.

Seeking the blessings of his indigenous community, Pradyot assured them of delivering a constitutional solution. He expressed gratitude for the Central government’s attention to the voice of the indigenous people and pledged not to return empty-handed from Delhi.
