Two arrested for forging documents in Cachar
Guwahati: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly forging Adhar cards and other government documents of several persons from the Cachar district of Assam.
The incident took place from the pan card office situated at Masjid complex at Fatak Bazar in Silchar of the district.
The apprehended persons have been identified as Javed Choudhury and Imran Ahmed Choudhury.
According to reports, both the suspects were involved in making fake pan cards, voter identity cards, Adhar cards, etc.
As a result of the bust, the police officials have seized three laptops, 14 pan cards, two voter cards, one Aadhar Card, one biometric machine, 9 accounts in the name of various SBI account holders, 2 fake seals in the name of the Principal of Senior Madrassa School, 650 passport photos, 40 numbers of Pan Card forms and several other fake documents.
However, police officials have also seized two mobile phones in connection to it.
Meanwhile, Both the apprehended persons are under interrogation at the Silchar police station.
