Two Detained in Connection with Murder of CRPF Jawan on Assam-Arunachal Pradesh Border
Northeast Desk, 7th September: A significant development has unfolded in the case of the murder of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan in Bordumsa, along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. The Arunachal Pradesh police, in a joint operation conducted by Namsai and Chalang police, apprehended two individuals believed to be connected to the crime.
The two individuals, identified as Chao Neuta Min from Changlai village in Changlang district and Chao Arvi Khen from Jenglai village, were taken into custody. The Bordumsa police team, along with the detainees, is en route to Namsai.
The incident occurred when two CRPF jawans, who had arrived at a market area in civil clothing on Wednesday evening, were attacked by two bike-borne assailants. Both jawans were stabbed with a sharp object, resulting in the tragic death of one of them, identified as Sunil Kumar Pandey. After the assault, the perpetrators escaped the area.
The motive behind the attack is yet to be determined, and investigations into the incident are ongoing. Meanwhile, the injured jawan received immediate medical attention at a nearby hospital.
