Ukrainian Couple marries amid Russian invasion
Guwahati: A couple in Ukraine got married Just hours after Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.
Yaryna Arieva and Sviatoslav Fursin, two Ukrainian nationals, spent their first day as a married couple collecting firearms and preparing to protect their country.
According to CNN, Arieva and Fursin have both enlisted in the Territorial Defense Forces, a part of Ukraine’s military forces made up largely of volunteers.
The pair immediately went to the office of their political organization, European Solidarity, after being armed.
‘Right now, we’re here and doing everything we can to help.’ So, there’s a lot of work to be done, but I’m hopeful that everything will work out,” Arieva added.
