Guwahati: In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants allegedly attacked a pedestrian in Golaghat district of Assam on Thursday night.
The incident took place in the Chandmari area of the district.
The injured has been identified as Dilip Hazarika.
Hazarika was strolling along the street when he was struck with sharp weapons in the head and hands by unidentified assailants on a bicycle.
However, the unidentified miscreants fled the place after committing the crime.
The man was seriously injured in the collision and was immediately rushed to Golaghat’s Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in a critical condition.
Later, he was shifted to Jorhat medical college hospital (JMCH) for better treatment.
Meanwhile, the Golaghat police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
