WB: 5 BJP MLS’s suspended after unruly behavior in assembly

West Bengal: Five BJP MLAs including from West Bengal, including Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, on Monday for alleged unruly behaviour in the House.

The sanctions were imposed when mayhem broke out in the West Bengal Assembly after the Opposition demanded that the Birbhum violence be discussed.

Following the Birbhum incident, in which eight people were killed, the Opposition demanded a discussion on the state’s law-and-order situation. The last day of the Budget session was today. The administration, on the other hand, appears to have rejected.

The Birbhum violence case quickly exploded into a riot on the assembly floor in Kolkata. Manoj Tigga, a BJP MLA, was allegedly assaulted during the event. Asit Majumdar, a TMC MLA, also alleged that he was injured in the commotion.

Suvendu Adhikari, Manoj Tigga, Narahari Mahato, Shankar Ghosh, and Dipak Barman, all BJP MLAs, have been suspended for their suspected involvement in the uproar inside the Bengal Assembly.

The BJP claimed that the TMC sent Kolkata Police officers dressed in civilian clothes to confront its MLAs. A video posted on Twitter by BJP leader Amit Malviya shows a number of MLAs pushing and yelling each other, causing “pandemonium” within the chamber.

A demonstration has been organised by the BJP in order to get the attention of the central government. “I’ll file a complaint with the Speaker, demanding that the regulations be followed,” Suvendu Adhikari stated.
