Guwahati: The body of a youth was found hanging in a rented house in the Dhubri district of Assam on Monday morning .
According to reports, the incident took place at Beltoli in Bilasipara.
Locals claimed that the deceased was murdered and that the suspect hanged him to make it look like as he had committed suicide.
One of the locals said, “The boy was living at a rented house owned by Vedu Sheikh and we have often heard and witnessed some unsocial events happening in the residence. The boy might have seen something due to which they killed and hanged him in his room to make it look like a suicide.”
Meanwhile, police and a magistrate arrived at the scene and started an investigation into the matter.
