Guwahati: In a sensational incident, a youth was killed after he was hit by a speeding train in Chandmari area of Guwahati on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Robin, was a resident of Nijorapara area in the city.
According to reports, the tragedy happened at the Chandmari rail crossing while the victim was attempting to cross the rails.
However, he lost a limb because the train began to move just as he was underneath it.
Reports further claim the youth was drunk at the time of the event and died from blood loss within minutes.
Meanwhile, authorities arrived at the scene and recovered the deceased for post-mortem.
