App Based Bike Riders to Get Uniforms from June 15 in Guwahati

Guwahati: The Kamrup Metro District Transport Enforcement branch has announced that riders of app-based bike services will be required to wear uniforms from June 15.

This decision was reached during a meeting between Cab Service Providers and Cab Associations with Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup (M) Pallav Gopal Jha on June 1 in Guwahati.

DTO Enforcement Himangshu Das said that PeIndia bike riders will be issued uniforms starting June 15 and Rapido has announced that uniform dress code for their riders would commence on June 20.

Apart from that, both the Ola bike and Uber Moto applications will begin working with new uniforms on June 25.

This choice was made to distinguish between bike app professionals and citizens, as well as to identify the companies for which the riders work.
