Arunachal: Avalanche hits Army patrol party, rescue operations on

Guwahati: The Indian Army stated in a statement on Monday that rescue operations are underway in Arunachal Pradesh’s Kameng sector to save a patrol group that was caught in an avalanche.

An avalanche struck in the high-altitude location on Sunday, trapping at least seven workers. The patrolling crew included the seven soldiers.

“Army patrol struck by an avalanche is being rescued in the Kameng Sector of Arunachal Pradesh. Specialized teams have been airlifted in to help with rescue efforts “In a statement, the Army stated.

It stated that the area has been experiencing severe weather with heavy snowfall for the past three days.

For the past few days, the area has been experiencing adverse weather, including significant snowfall.
