Guwahati: A huge amount of suspected brown sugar was seized by the Lumding Railway Police (G R P).
Train No.15670 at Namnimua Nagaland Express was raided late last night by a squad led by Lumding Railway Police (G R P) officer-in-charge Saidur Islam, who recovered 269 (GM) brown sugar in 15 cases.
The market value of the seized brown sugar is valued at Rs 50 lakh.
The railway police have initiated legal action and further investigation is underway.
