Guwahati: A child was trampled to death in Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district on Sunday.
The incident took place at Baithalangso of the district.
As per the reports a woman named Kabon Rongfarpi was cleaning grass in front of her residence along with Umjalin Ingti, her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
It may be mentioned that A mother and daughter combo were being pursued by an elephant at the same time. The elephant pursued them until they were a safe distance away. After the incident, Kabon Rongfarpi was severely hurt, and her daughter Umjalin died on the spot.
Notably, Kabon Rongfarpi, who was injured, is being treated at the Baithalangso Block Primary Hospital.
